7. Rajesh Koothrappali Can Finally Talk To Girls
In the Season 6 finale, Raj finally broke through his series-long glass ceiling of needing to have an alcoholic drink in hand in order to talk to women. For the entire run of this great show, Raj's inability to hold a conversation with the ladies has been a nice, even if sometimes overused, gag to generate laughs in any given scene. But in keeping with the growing maturity of our show and it's beloved characters over the past few seasons, Raj was finally able to overcome his fear of talking to girls in the Season 6 finale, and it appears as though this could be to the detriment of the entire female cast: Rajesh is now a "chatty Kathy." The writers of the show now have new ground for Raj to explore. It's well-documented that some of his ideas about American culture are extremely backwards and misguided, and now that he can hold court with the ladies and engage them at any time that should ultimately provide for more laughs. Look for the return of Raj's love interest Lucy from last season, and in the end we can all hope that Raj is able to land a steady relationship in the new season, and grow even more as a character. Could be a breakout season for Raj. And what of Raj's best friend and man-mate, Howard?...
