It’s been almost two weeks since The Boys came out of nowhere to blow the minds of unsuspecting superhero fans across the world. These eight episodes could single-handedly make it worth purchasing Amazon Prime. Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen did a superb job bringing the Dynamite Entertainment comics to life with this first season.
This epic tale of superheroes, more interested in their public appearance than the hero aspect of their jobs, offered a unique perspective on the genre and left us devastated that there weren’t more episodes for us to digest.
So, now that we’ve all had enough time to binge through The Boys, it seems only fitting that we take a look at where we lie with Season One having wrapped up. There are plenty of questions in need of answers, predictions to be made and theories to be thrown around ahead of Season Two.
Please note that these entries are from the perspective of someone who has only seen the TV series and has not read the comics. Some of these questions may have been answered in its literary form, but are still wide open for fans of the show.
Angry, quite possibly drunken, Scotsman who shouts at TV shows and movies when they don't go his way. Pessimistic and cynical lover of video games. Fantasy football extraordinaire. I haven't followed wrestling since 2005 so, for the love of god, please don't @ me. (Unless you follow me first. I need to work on my Twitter cred.)
