The Flash: 10 Biggest Questions We Have For Season 6

Is The Red Death finally coming to Central City?

Contains spoilers from The Flash Season 5.

The Flash's fifth season saw the lives of Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen turned upside down by the unexpected arrival of their daughter Nora. Having travelled back through time to meet her father, Nora inadvertently caused some major changes to the timeline - one of which spawned the arrival of the season's Big Bad.

However, as the game-changing season finale illustrated, it was all part of an elaborate plan engineered by the Reverse-Flash, who gleefully manipulated Nora, Iris and his old archenemy Barry in a bid to scheme his way out of a death sentence. That plan, however, came at the cost of his "little runner" Nora, who was subsequently erased from existence.

Taking all of that into account, it's safe to say that 'Legacy' has left The Flash in a very interesting place. It changed things up dramatically, broke fans' hearts, and even altered the course of the Arrowverse's long-teased Crisis. With that in mind, as we look ahead to Season 6, we've all been left with a number of questions that simply must be answered.

10. Will Caitlin's Mother Meet Her Icy Alter-Ego?

The Flash Questions
The CW

The troubled relationship between Caitlin Snow and her mother, Dr. Carla Tannhauser, has been one aspect of the show that just doesn't get as much attention as it needs. That being said, Season 5 did devote a little more time to their story than usual as the pair finally managed to patch up some old frosty wounds. But the situation that brought them together could end up being the very thing that causes even more trouble between them in the future.

After kidnapping both of them, Icicle (a.k.a. the icy alter-ego of Thomas Snow) attempted to make Carla like himself and Caitlin by giving her a frostier personality and, although The Flash managed to stop the process before it went too far, it appears that he wasn't entirely successful in doing so.

After testing her mother for residual metahuman DNA, Caitlin revealed that the liquid she used didn't turn white and, as a result, was able to confirm that she was unaffected by Icicle's experiment. However, when the pair left S.T.A.R. Labs, the liquid did indeed turn white.

Of course, this left viewers wondering if Carla will now develop an inner ice queen and, if so, will she be redeemable like Killer Frost, or will she have more of a penchant for destruction like Icicle? Let's hope we find out in Season 6.

Gives a whole new meaning to a cold relationship, doesn't it?
