The Flash: 8 Best Villains

6. The Trickster

For many fans, Mark Hamill has come to define The Joker thanks to his decades-long work voicing the character. It's been such a treat, then, to see Hamill get to essentially bring that sort of crazy, delightful energy he's been pouring into the Clown Prince of Crime to a live-action performance as James Jesse, the obsessive terrorist known as The Trickster, a role he actually played back in 1990's The Flash series.

Team Flash have tussled with a large roster of villains over the years who have resurfaced again and again, but few have stolen the show like The Trickster. Despite practically consuming the scenery around him, he's an electric presence, an oddball presence who truly feels unhinged and psychotic, going so far as to hand out bombs disguised as presents to children - in full Santa garb, no less - which is just next level evil compared to most, if not all, of the minor villains we've seen to date.

The Trickster has made a single appearance in seasons one and two, but discounting a brief cameo from his Earth-3 doppelganger in season three, he hasn't been seen since, undoubtedly due to Hamill's commitments to a tiny franchise you may have heard of called Star Wars. That said, hopefully The Trickster can return sooner than later to terrorize Team Flash again, as his presence has been sorely missed.
