The Flash Season 5: 10 Easter Eggs & References You Might Have Missed In 'Nora'

9. The Legion Of Super-Heroes

Flash Back To The Future
The CW

Anytime that the future is mentioned on a DC property, it's hard not to think of the Legion of Super-Heroes, and it appears that the writers of The Flash feel the same, as Nora dropped a few references to them throughout the episode.

Being from the future, Nora's lingo is somewhat different and, as a result, she often raised eyebrows, specifically when things would go wrong and she would exclaim "Oh grife!". The word "grife" is an expletive from the future - one that was often used by members of the Legion. In fact, it was also used by Mon-El on fellow Arrowverse series Supergirl.

Nora would then reference a member of the Legion when she told Iris that she thought her father's lightning bolt symbol was "way cooler" than the one worn by Lightning Lad - who was a founding member of the 31st Century supergroup.

While the Legion of Super-Heroes has appeared on Supergirl, they have yet to appear on Earth-1. Could Nora's arrival change that?
