The Simpsons: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode

10. Linguo

It'€™s probably for the best that Linguo didn'€™t survive long enough to witness the mobile phone explosion or, God forbid, Twitter. The Simpsons may have started going downhill roughly around the time when the season count reached double figures, but there were still some fine episodes beyond that point and many memorable characters.

Trilogy of Error from the show€™'s twelfth season succeeded on both counts with a three-part, interconnected plot more typical of the Treehouse of Horror specials. This time taking a lead from the thriller rather than horror genre, Lisa, Homer and Bart all face separate races against time in a plot filled to the rafters with pop culture references.

The star of the show? Linguo, the grammar-correcting robot Lisa builds for the school science fair. A dab hand at identifying sentence fragments, Linguo may not be the party robot Homer has in mind, but he'€™s not afraid to stand up to the imperfect grammar of the Springfield Mafia. Linguo is dead, but his memory lives on.

Don€™t like this choice? Shut up your face.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
