The Simpsons: 10 Best Villains Ever

9. Ms. Botz

Another non-Golden Era villain, although Ms. Botz - better known as the babysitter bandit - actually debuted before The Simpsons became a bona fide icon, as opposed to after its sheen had begun to fade.

Lucile Botzcowski, to give her rarely used full name, arguably benefited the most from the early, more sketch pad stylings of The Simpsons animation. The spiky, almost dirty look to the drawings of the first few seasons only added to the evil nature of Ms. Botz.

The deep sunken eyes, ill-fitting clothes and raspy voice work from Penny Marshall, Ms. Botz was like a Disney villain from the 70s and 80s; the sorts of villains the early writing staff would’ve grown up with.

With Bart’s reputation putting The Simpsons on the blacklist at most babysitters, Homer and Marge find themselves short of options on date night. Luckily, or rather unluckily, Ms. Botz volunteers. As soon as the parents are gone, she ties the kids up and begins to steal whatever she can find, before Bart and Lisa escape and wreak some Home Alone style vengeance.

Homer returns to find Ms. Botz tied up and, thinking the worst, boneheadedly frees her just as the police arrive.
