The Simpsons: 15 Best Ever TV Show Parodies & Homages
8. Batman
Seen in: Large Marge (Season 14, Episode 14) The ultra-campy Batman TV series from the 60s has had a huge impact on pop culture, so its no surprise that The Simpsons has spoofed it many a time. While Adam West has rekindled his career in the last decade through appearing as himself on Family Guy, he has also made several cameos on the Simpsons. These invariably feature nods to his most famous role, usually inferring he has never moved on (such as the time Homer found him sitting in the Batmobile in a museum, pretending to be a mannequin). The show properly made a spoof of the show in Large Marge which reveals that Krusty played a Batman villain, called Clownface. It's a fun skit that packs in all the show's tropes - the catchphrases, the ridiculous traps and Batman's ever-useful utility belt. The series was basically a parody of the character itself so it's almost just like watching an ordinary episode of the show!
