The Simpsons: 15 Most Hilarious Milhouse Moments

A tribute to everyone's favourite pog-loving, flood pants-wearing, blue-haired misfit...

Of all the supporting characters on The Simpsons, there are few as popular or memorable as Milhouse van Houten, Bart's perpetually unlucky best friend, distinguished by his blue hair, thick glasses and being one of the few characters on the show to actually have eyebrows. He's been a great source of comedy over the years, usually by way of his overwhelming social awkwardness compared to the more outgoing Bart, and despite his countless efforts to be cool, he's almost always foiled by someone or something out of his control. Fun fact: Milhouse's peculiar name is a result of Matt Groening trying to think up the most "unfortunate" name he could for a kid, and to boot, Milhous is also Richard Nixon's middle name. Writer Al Jean once famously said "most of the writers are more like Milhouse than Bart", and as such it's not too surprising that he's apparently the character many of the writers enjoy using the most. His funniest moments tend to be perversely hilarious, poking fun at the poor guy as he's mocked by another character or things just don't go his way. That the show has managed to keep him fresh and relatively un-Flanderised after more than 25 seasons is pretty impressive. Here are the 15 most hilarious Milhouse moments...
