The Walking Dead: 13 Easter Eggs And Details You Probably Missed

3. Spoiler Alerts

Laurie Holden Walking Dead Spoiler One theory that has emerged online since the show became almost immediately popular is that the producers decided to toy with the audience somewhat by hiding easter eggs in plain sight that foreshadowed major events. In the opening credits for season three, the names of Sarah Wayne Callies and Lauren Holden appear, as above, next to shell casings. This could be seen as little more than an aesthetically-informed coincidence, since the rest of the sequence features other similar images of death, but it seems mighty coincidental that both characters ultimately died on the end of a bullet to the head, to stop them from turning. It seems that the show makers were giving an advanced warning, in the same manner as they had done previously, to signify the ends of the unlucky pair. In another similar moment, the church that appears in the first season of The Walking Dead carries an external slogan that reads merely "Revelations 16:13." For the biblically uninitiated, his piece of scripture reads: "Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet." It was no accident then that the church housed three Walkers.
