The Walking Dead: 5 Best And 5 Worst Changes From The Comics

4. Under-using Tyreese

B4 Tyreese This point might be a little premature. Changes came early in the show that meant, if you had read the books, events needed to be reorganised though largely the main cast stayed consistent. Except many people were asking, up until the mid-season finale of season three, €˜Where the hell is Tyreese?€™ He plays a key role in the books, supporting but then fighting Rick as Rick struggles with the responsibilities of being the leader, going through the suicide of his daughter in the prison before killing her boyfriend for making her go through with it and then becoming Michonne€™s key love interest. What we got in the television show is, granted, a level headed character who is responsible and gives us a chance to see how outsiders would view the Woodbury-Prison battle. He also still can€™t shoot for shit, for we can€™t say his character isn€™t faithful. He just seems, like the prisoners, quite underused. We essentially get an off-brand Rick who temporarily joins the prison, before fleeing to Woodbury and becoming a passive member of the Governor€™s army before deciding he won€™t take part in the raid on the prison. Tyreese has had very little impact considering his major role in the books. Perhaps we will see him come into his own in season four?
