7. Gregory
This world is not for the weak, and Gregory will finally find that out in season eight.
The snivelling ruler of Hilltop Colony was last seen on the road with his henchman Kal, seemingly on his way to Negan (we can take a pretty good guess at this because Simon was seen to be giving Gregory instructions on how to reach The Sanctuary the episode prior).
But Gregory is back at the Hilltop in the trailer for the new season, which means he makes it out of The Sanctuary alive, despite Negan now knowing about his dealings with Rick.
Judging by his sulking face and positioning behind Maggie in the trailer, he will be ousted as Hilltop leader because of his reluctance to commit to the cause - Jesus already knows that he tried to give Maggie and Sasha up to The Saviours before. Rick and company would be right to distrust him, as he probably escapes from Lucile with instructions to spy for Negan.
Whether he is killed by Rick’s group for his double-crossing, or by Negan for his uselessness, Gregory cannot make it out of this war alive. He has no friends, only enemies.
