The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Questions We’re Asking After ‘Knots Untie'

The road to Negan begins...

The stage is set. The runway is cleared. Brace yourselves, people. The Walking Dead is about to lift off. The creators have always talked about the show as a sprawling series that could last for many years to come, and Episode 11 has offered fans the greatest indication yet that the real party is just getting started. The world is opening up. We're no longer following a desperate struggle to survive, we're following a desperate struggle to live, sustain, and grow, with Alexandria, the Hilltop colony and Negan's Saviours about to provide a flashpoint for total chaos. In an episode with a brand new location, new themes, new characters and a progression from the Alexandria storyline, there are more than a few alarming questions to be asked. Here are 10 of the most pressing from Episode 11, Knots Untie.

10. Why Is This "Different"?

The previous episode showed the start of 'Richonne', and the beginning of Episode 11 saw the reactions of several members, including Carl, when they realised something was going on between the pair. Right before leaving, Rick explains to Carl that this had just started the night before and that he was going to tell him. What a conversation to have with your son, Rick... "This is different," said Rick. Evidently, this is the start of a relationship that looks set to last. Lori was pure apocalypse-fodder, Jessie was sweet but unfortunately burdened with two of the worst children she could ever conceive, while Michonne is a fierce warrior and compassionate soul. But why is this 'different'? Has Rick always had feelings for Michonne? Has he forgotten all about poor Jessie? It's a quick turnaround for the sheriff, but it looks like 'Richonne' is in it for the long haul.
