7. Do Walkers Have Selective Hearing?

At the end of the mid-season finale, we were left hanging with Sam calling, loudly, for Jessie. However, when we picked the show back up, that clip wasn't shown and absolutely nothing came of it, meaning that the big cliffhanger was a damp squib. But how could the wakers NOT hear that? How is it even possible? He shouted out loud, and Jessie would've surely made noise to quieten him down, attracting attention from the walkers. And then when Sam's startling death went down, he barely had to say anything at all for the walkers to notice him. And that's the other thing, how can the walkers just suddenly see the person after they make a faint noise? There are a lot of things that just don't add up.
