The Walking Dead Season 7: 5 Ups And 3 Downs From 'Go Getters'

Jesus returns, but he can't quite save The Walking Dead from another week of plodding.

The Walking Dead continues to move through its locations one at a time. After the clearing, the Kingdom, the Saviours compound, and Alexandria, episode 5 turns attentions to the Hilltop.

That means the return of fan-favourite Paul 'Jesus' Rovia and the snivelling leader Gregory, as well as picking up on Maggie and Sasha's story for the first time since the season premiere.

This is intercut with Carl and Enid's journey to get to the Hilltop, while all we see of Rick is in a vey brief moment of him preparing to depart Alexandria on a trip at the beginning.

A return to regular-length episodes, it's still very much a slow-burner. The Walking Dead got its big moment out of the way in the premiere, and now it's really taking its time in moving to the next stage of things (for better and for worse).

Since we're still in the catch-up phase, even five episodes in, there's not a whole lot driving things forward. As a result, Go Getters isn't a great episode overall, but did manage to have some good characters moments within.
