The Walking Dead Season 7: 6 Ups And 4 Downs From 'Say Yes'

Ups...

6. The Carnival

The bulk of the episode, and certainly the majority of Rick and Michonne's story, takes place at an abandoned carnival, which provides the show with one of the most fun settings we've seen in ages.

Indeed, I wish they'd utilised it even more than they did, because the carnival/fairground setting works very well in a post-apocalyptic world. What we do get is still really cool though, providing us with plenty of moments where Rick and Michonne have to use the railings around rides to their advantage, splitting up - "you take the slide, I'll take the Ferris Wheel" - and then Rick actually climbing the wheel itself (although where it leads isn't all that great).

After so much time traversing around the same old locations, or ones that put just a slightly different twist on things aesthetically, it's good to see the show give us another genuinely different setting - although how no one has ever stumbled upon this cache of guns/food before now is a mystery.
