The Walking Dead Season 8: 4 Ups And 3 Downs From 'The King, The Widow, And Rick'

The second part of the title also fares well this week, with Maggie given a chance to further grow into the true leader of the Hilltop. For that, however, there's the necessary pairing of her with the Colony's former leader, Gregory, to present different sides of the coin.

Although he hasn't been in it much, Gregory has been one of the most entertaining characters of this season, with Xander Berkeley expertly conveying the character's weasely, snivelling nature to hilarious effect, and that's all on display again here.

The way the pair clash allows Maggie to show just what kind of leader she wants to be, and it's one that's largely fair, but also prepared to be extremely firm when required, and the mini-twist, with Gregory thrown in with the Saviours, is a nice turn of events.
