The Walking Dead Season 8: 5 Ups And 3 Downs From 'Some Guy'

4. Return Of Badass Carol

Carol has long been one of the show's best characters and, since destroying Terminus back in the excellent No Sanctuary, has been regarded as one of its most badass action heroes.

Despite the war being well underway, she hasn't had too much of a chance to show those skills - until now. Entering the compound held by the Saviours, we get to see her stealthily navigate a couple of tricky situations, and display her prowess with a gun in hand too.

Melissa McBride isn't taxed with doing too much, but this sort of performance seems to come to her effortlessly and is entertaining to watch. We've had the mindless shoot-outs, and this allows us to see a character actually thinking about things and formulating a plan rather than (or at least before) firing shots.
