8. Will Gabriel Face Consequences For His Actions?
Father Gabriel has done a lot of stupid things over the years, but his actions in the latest episode might just be his worst to date.
Leaving Negan's cell door unlocked could be the downfall of Alexandria. Rosita's near-death experience was occupying his mind, which is understandable, but even that shouldn't have been enough to distract him from how dangerous Negan is. Surely every time Gabriel interacts with the former antagonist the terrifying memories of what he put his friends through come flooding back to him?
While Alexandria leader Michonne would never be pleased to learn such news, let's not forget that she's far from the understanding person she was in previous seasons, so chances are the sword-wielding hero is going to be less forgiving when she learns of Gabriel's blunder. Moreover, it's hard to imagine the people of Hilltop and The Kingdom will be thrilled to learn that Negan is roaming free once more, so it's likely that Gabriel will find himself without friends soon enough.
