The Walking Dead Season 9: 4 Ups & 2 Downs From ‘Warning Signs’
Rick Grimes plans for the future, but will he live to see it?

The ninth season of The Walking Dead may have only premiered two weeks ago, but it's been quite shocking thus far. Last week's episode saw Rick attempt to keep the peace between the Saviors and the rest of the group, but the division within the group gets worse in the follow-up instalment, entitled Warning Signs.
Following his excommunication from the group, Justin turns up dead, which prompts a series of questions from the Saviors, as they point the finger at our central characters. Rick, Maggie, Carol and Daryl investigate, hoping to get to the bottom of what happened to Justin, and their investigation leads to some interesting revelations. Elsewhere, Daryl and Rick continue to clash, and Maggie comes to a realisation.
But it's not all doom and gloom because, in addition to the conflict, there's actually quite a few lovely moments between Rick and Michonne, as they discuss their plans for the future (a future that we know our protagonist will not have).
The Walking Dead will probably never reach perfection again, but Season 9 is definitely shaping up to be the best the show has produced in years. Save for a few caveats, Warning Signs is one of the best offerings we've had from the series in quite some time.
