Adaptation also served as Jesus' farewell episode, which is why it's a real shame that the under-appreciated character was once again overlooked in favour of other storylines. In spite of this, the instalment did try to explain the massive effect that losing the long-haired leader will have on the people of Hilltop.

This community looked up to Jesus, and it's easy to see why. He was good-hearted, kind and a damn good leader. His demise will no doubt have a big effect on this community, and with so many characters already at each other's throats, the show's protagonists will have their work cut out for them in ensuring that Jesus' legacy continues.

Although losing Jesus was a pretty hard pill to swallow when you consider how neglected the character was, what's worse is the fact that Tara looks set to resume the leadership role at Hilltop. It's highly unlikely that she'll be able to pick up where Jesus left off, but at least the community will have Daryl helping out too.
