Top 5 Authors Of Star Trek Tie-in Novels

3. Keith R.A. DeCandido

A Good Day To Die There's more to Stark Trek tie-in fiction than just writing novels, and Keith R.A. DeCandido (KRAD to his friends) has pretty much done it all. Not only has he written novels for all five TV series, he has also written comics, edited short story collections, and even created not one, but two, brand new literary Star Trek series. Starfleet Corps of Engineers was originally an ebook only series, which is fairly self explanatory. Co-created with John J. Ordover, it followed the adventures and crew of the USS da Vinci as they tackled issues that only a dedicated team of engineers can. In addition to this, he is also the only author of the short lived IKS Gorkon series. What the Enterprise is to Starfleet, the Gorkon is to the Klingons... Almost. Named in honour of the legendary chancellor, it explored space in order to seek out new life, only not with intentions of peaceful first contact, but to find and conquer new planets on which to plant the flag of the empire. As if writing for, and creating, various Star Trek series wasn't enough, KRAD has also written a number of one off all individual novels. These include the political thriller Articles Of The Federation, and A Singular Destiny, which deals with the aftermath of the biggest event in Star Trek literary history....
