The Walking Dead 5.7 Review - 5 Talking Points From "Crossed"

One episode left before the mid-season finale...

After the events of Consumed unfolded leaving us with a good idea of where we're going (to the hospital, with guns!), this week was all about following up on that while building to the actual rescue mission intended to bring Carol and Beth back home. We jump ahead a bit, with the group already planning their assault, and Michonne offers to go in Rick's place so he can stay back with Carl. But Rick feels he owes Carl, more so than the other do, and rightly so since he sent her to survive on her own, and vows to be a part of the trip. The rest of the episode was spent getting us to the hospital, with some moments looking in on Abraham's group and Morgan back at the church. It was very much a set-up episode, one that will hopefully lead to an all-out action-packed killer of a mid-season finale. Crossed was a bit about healing as well, for some characters who've been dealt difficult blows recently, and how/if they're going to be able to come back from that. Sasha, still dealing with Bob's death, seemed to snap out of it a little thanks to a pep talk from Nanny Tyreese. And Abraham went from looking like he was ready to embrace death through the barrel of Maggie's gun to finally deciding he wanted to continue persevering. But the real story is what's about to go down at Grady. Here's 5 talking points from Crossed.
