The Walking Dead: 5 Characters From The Comics Who Should Be In The TV Show

5. Father Gabriel Stokes

Gabrielstokes1 Appearing in issue 61 of the series after the prison massacre, Father Stokes is a man of the cloth, a tricky fellow with some questionable morals. Hiding in his church during the outbreak and turning away any poor soul who wanted some sanctuary from the dead, he acted as a coward rather than a saviour. But hey, he survived. Well, until he started running out of food. He encounters Rick's group on the road, begging them to help him out and then tagging along with them on their way to discovering the Alexandria Safe-Zone. Not much is known about Gabriel, other than the fact he's pretty useless in a crisis and would most likely sacrifice any other life to save his own, but that's what the TV series can delve into perfectly €“ the man of God trying to fight the good fight, be selfless and act the hero, but unable to because that's just not who he is. With a cowardly streak, Gabriel could be a catalyst in endangering the lives of some of our beloved characters. Get this man in the show, and let him inadvertently cause lots of deaths, I say!

Steven feels like a sociopath writing a bio about himself in third person, but it feels kind of nice, and he's sure he'll get used to it.
