The Walking Dead: 5 Characters That Should Die (And 5 That Shouldn't)

url-27Spoiler warning: This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead TV series, as well as the comic books. The Walking Dead has become known for its shocking character deaths, especially during the care-free executing last season. Not just the countless walker victims Rick's group has encountered along the way, but several main characters that have been with the group since the show's inception failed to survive the zombie apocalypse in season 3. Lori and T-Dog were shockingly killed off in just the fourth episode, and Merle and Andrea met there demise in the last two episodes of the season. Based on that precedent, and the predicaments we find the group's members in, season 4 looks to be no exception. There's sure to be more jaw-dropping and tear-jerking losses in store for the group this time around. The show's writers have always deviated from the comic's story and timeline (Daryl and Merle weren't even in the comics, for example), and part of what makes the show great is its unpredictability. You never know who's going to get killed off next, yet certain characters are safer than others. I will take a look at 5 existing characters that could potentially go in season 4, and 5 that should definitely survive. I will explain my choices based on each character's development in the show, potential fan reaction, and how the character was treated in the comics.
