The Walking Dead: 7 Unanswered Questions We Hope Season 4 Answers

7. Is Anyone Still In Charge?

Atlanta1 So far the series as a whole has followed the tail of just one group of survivors in one set area - more or less the South East of the U.S. - and whilst that makes for less distractions for the viewers, you can't help but wonder if there's any form of government still functioning somewhere. Obviously the outbreak has crippled the U.S., if not the world to a near apocalypse level, but is there no Day Of The Dead-style bunker on a secure military base somewhere for the leaders of the world to plot salvation? Don't get me wrong, I get that suddenly introducing a major politician - whether the President of the U.S. or the Federal Council of Switzerland - would be beyond ludicrous for the integrity of the show, but it'd be intriguing to see if there's even the most minuscule trace of world authority still clinging on. A cryptic, radio message, perhaps? Though maybe not one which sends Rick on another psychotic episode.
