Westworld Season 2: 12 Biggest Questions We Need Answers To

2. How Did Stubbs Escape?

Stubbs was just another pawn that fell victim to Ford's intricate plans. While investigating into Elsie's disappearance, he inadvertently gets surrounded by native hosts. Stubbs, clutching to his helpless security precautions says the infamous "Freeze all motor-functions" phrase, but alas, the host does not stop, and he is jumped by them.

That appeared to be that, until the lesser-known Hemsworth brother magically appeared in the first Westworld Season 2 trailer, alive, well and riding a dune buggy.

While it was disappointing to see such a spoiler right off the bat, it did at least provide relief for fans of the show that he lives to fight another day. The question arises, however, of how on earth he got out of that situation alive, and why the hosts that jumped him didn't respond to voice commands. Hopefully Stubbs will be a bit less naive in the upcoming season, and continue his search for Elsie to provide himself, and us, closure.
