After returning with a vengeance for its ambitious three-part premiere, in which the heroes travelled to Markovia, Young Justice decided to change things up this week. The fourth episode was a more lower-scale, standalone adventure that placed the primary focus on some of the show's core characters, while reintroducing us to some of the less-regular faces from days-gone-by.

In an attempt to expose metahuman-trafficking in Star City, Dick attempted to recruit old allies Red Arrow, Arsenal and Guardian. However, thanks to the Red Arrow iteration of Roy Harper (who now goes by "Will"), he ended up working with all three Harpers on a different mission in return, helping Bowhunter Security with the transportation of goods.

While you would think that their nightly mission as heroes would take precedence over this, it was actually the humorous security mission that was the primary focus of 'Private Security'. This dialled things back a little and paved the way for more character-centric developments instead. Furthermore, it was a nice way to settle things down following the seriousness of the main narrative in last week's episodes.

With Happy Harbor, returning heroes, Brick and a major character learning something, the episode proved to be an incredibly enjoyable callback to some of the show's earliest standalone outings, developing character over the storyline and ensuring that we still have a blast while its happening.
