5 Main Card Predictions For UFC 174

Ufc 174 Flat UFC 174 takes place live Saturday June 14th from Vancouver, Canada. What do we have in store for us? Culminating with a flyweight title fight between Mighty Mouse Johnson and Ali Bagautinov, the card also features the much discussed return of former heavyweight champ Andrei Arlovski versus Brendan Schaub, and a bout between welterweight contenders Rory Macdonald and Tyron Woodley that will move one of them closer to a title shot against current champion Johnny Hendricks, and send another to the back of the line. Also on the card, Ryan Jimmo meets Ovince Saint Preux, and another Ryan, "Darth" Bader, meets former Strikeforce champ Rafael Cavalcante. It's a night of high stakes with the potential for exciting finishes. So without further adieu, here are predictions for all five fights on the main card of UFC 174.

5. Ryan Jimmo vs. Ovince Saint Preux

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZEOxdZE94A Weight Class: Light Heavyweight Ryan Jimmo, the Canadian who held the MFC light heavyweight title prior to leaving that organization for the UFC, goes toe to toe with Ovince Saint Preux, which should determine where Jimmo really stands in the division, and whether Saint Preux is truly as good as we think. Jimmo has traded wins and losses since his UFC debut, tying the record for fastest UFC knockout over Anthony Perosh before dropping a decision to James Te-Huna after gassing out early. He took a unanimous decision over Igor Pokrajac after that, and followed up with a loss to Jimi Manuwa in Machester due to injury. His last fight was a victory against promotional newcomer Sean O'Connell, putting him 3-2 overall in the UFC. Outside the UFC, he holds notable victories over Sokoudjou, Marvin Eastman, and Bellator light heavyweight champ Emmanuel Newton. Saint Preux, meanwhile, enters the night on a four fight win streak, most recently scoring a slick Von Flue choke over former heavyweight Nikita Krylov. He's ranked 13th by the UFC, in large part due to the aforementioned choke and undefeated streak. Aside from a doctor's stoppage for a cut, he's never been stopped in his career. All that said, Jimmo has arguably faced tougher competition, with mixed results. The home town favourite, Jimmo will take this by decision.
