6. Should Rashad Evans Retire?

It’s never nice to see a UFC veteran retire but it’s even worse to watch them continue fighting when they really shouldn’t. This is 100% the case when it comes to Rashad Evans.

Evans will forever be remembered in UFC for lifting the Light Heavyweight belt, having some incredible fights and being a coach in one of the most memorable ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ series ever.

At UFC 225, he faced Anthony Smith and suffered a devastating KO loss in just 53 seconds. After Smith locked in a whizzer, Evans ate a huge right knee which saw him collapse to the mat. It felt like the moment fans knew the 38-year-old could well be finished fighting competitively.

It was hard to watch. Although it was such a short fight, it was clear Evans was outclassed throughout and he almost looked out of place inside the cage.

Evans hasn’t won since 2013 and is on a five fight losing streak. After such an illustrious career, it would be a shame for it to end like this but at this point it is damage limitation for the former champion.

Jake Smith hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
