Should Demetrious Johnson Fight TJ Dillashaw

10. No – We Don't Know If TJ Can Make Weight

TJ Dillashaw has never fought at flyweight before. A career bantamweight and also former UFC bantamweight champion, we just don’t know if he can make 125 pounds. He's confident he'll make the weight, but how many big fights do we lose with weight cutting issues? 125 could potentially put a massive strain on his body, and he’s far from a lock to make it.

While it is worth noting that he has looked good at weigh-ins when hitting 135, 10 pounds is nothing to shrug your shoulders at. Renan Barao, who Dillashaw took the bantamweight title from back at UFC 173, has looked great at weigh-ins in his run at featherweight.

There were times however where he looked ill at some of his bantamweight weigh-ins, and was pulled from his scheduled rematch with Dillashaw at UFC 177, being taken to hospital during his weight cut. You would hope a similar fate wouldn't befall Dillashaw cutting to 125.
