Matt and Nick Jackson literally flew in the face of the few detractors they still had left with an exceptional and accomplished Wrestle Kingdom 12 performance against the underrated Roppongi 3K, but their successful advancement to the heavyweight division went even further to underscore exactly why they are the best tag team in the entire wrestling world.

Common sense expectation going into the match suggested that Champions EVIL & SANADA would zero in on the problematic back of Matt Jackson, not least considering the brutal 'Skull End' finisher employed by SANADA that could in reality lead to victory. Ever the masters of subversion, The Young Bucks instead found a new, even more important appendage to pull focus toward - Nick's superkicking foot.

Selling like performers from another generation, Nick and Matt both beautifully extracted the the pain and desperation from the former's issue after he leathered the steel post with an errant boot. Matt - himself nursing the aforementioned pains - willed his brother to join him for a superplex that eventually went wrong and convinced him to go for an Indytaker he ultimately couldn't perform told the story of a team unprepared for the rigours of a weight category ostensibly beyond their capabilities, but not their courage.
