10 Awesome WWE Entrance Themes That Went To Waste

Downstait's "Say It To My Face" could have gone to so much better use.

Entrance music is as integral a part as anything for a WWE Superstar. It sets the tone for what fans can expect from them and offers insight in regards to what they are all about. It has almost become a lost art in recent years with Jim Johnston taking a backseat to CFO$, but the latter tend to pump up some gems from time to time. As incredible of a performer as someone might be, they could get stuck with terrible entrance music. But there have been instances where it has been the other way around. Even the most insignificant of talent have been granted great entrance themes for one reason or another. If an awesome entrance theme is the only redeemable quality about a wrestler, that is when you know it went to waste. These ten competitors all had music that were worthy of being included on your iPod playlist, but whether it was because their push stalled or they simply didn't have the skills to go along with the sweet song, their themes rendered irrelevant. These are the songs we wish were recycled for up-and-comers we could have actually seen on Raw and SmackDown each week and not 'WWE Superstars.'

10. Kaval

If it had been announced Low Ki was signed to NXT, odds are fans would be excited, and rightfully so. Having been one of the best wrestlers in the world for the better part of the last decade, seeing him mix it up with the talent of tomorrow in NXT would be an absolute blast. Unfortunately for him, he appeared on NXT in the summer in the 2010, back when it wasn't what it has evolved into today. Season 1 of NXT was arguably the best instalment for the future stars it produced, but the challenges and matches were pretty lousy. The competition concept of the show was downright atrocious, and not even the most elite of wrestlers were safe from the stupidity, including Kaval, the former Low Ki. Despite having LayCool as his pros and losing more matches than he won, he somehow managed to win Season 2 and earn himself a place on the SmackDown roster. In all likelihood, you don't remember he had entrance music because he was rarely on TV, and when he was, it was in a losing effort. But trust me, his theme was pretty darn sweet. "Exploding Helmets" was one of the few production themes that actually sounded cool. In fact, it belonged to Wade Barrett in FCW before being given to Kaval. It is a shame we weren't able to hear it more prior to his release from the company in December 2010.
