Chris Jericho – the self-professed Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla – has become the undisputed king of reinventing his character. Just when it appears his career is winding down, the New York-born Canadian lionsaults his way back into relevancy and onto the main event scene. But not only is Jericho able to get himself, a scarf and a clipboard over with the WWE Universe, he has also been part of a number of successful tag teams over the years.

At the 2009 pay-per-view The Bash, Jericho and Edge were inserted into the tag team championship match as surprise competitors – winning and unifying the WWE and World Tag Team Championships in the process. However, less than a week later, Edge suffered a torn Achilles that forced him to the sidelines. Exploiting a clause in his contract, Jericho was able to remain as a tag team champion as long as he found a suitable partner - which he did, in the form of The Big Show.

Jericho and Big Show would prove to have great chemistry together, capitalising on their little-man/big-man combination and holding the unified tag team titles for 140 days. Their time together met its climax after losing the titles to DX and the subsequent rematch, which stipulated that Jericho must leave Raw forever if Jeri-Show lost.
