10 Best Brock Lesnar Feuds Since His 2012 Return

9. Triple H (2012-13)

At face value, Triple H and Lesnar put together a solid trilogy of matches over a period spanning much of 2012 and the first half of 2013.

They kicked things off with Lesnar winning a No DQ match at SummerSlam 2012 before Triple H got his win back at WrestleMania 29, only for Lesnar to win the rubber match inside a steel cage at Extreme Rules 2013.

All said and done, the angle had lasted just over a year and featured a storyline suspension for Lesnar, as well as supposed injuries to Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Vince McMahon along the way—the latter of whom took an F5 from Lesnar at the ripe old age of 67 years old.

Much like the Orton feud, though, this one didn’t really feel too organic. Some critics saw it as Triple H’s way to shoehorn himself into Lesnar’s limelight, and by the time the trilogy was over, three of Lesnar’s four matches since returning had been against the same guy.

Giving Lesnar fresh opponents would surely have been a better idea, especially as this arrangement saw him lose in his first WrestleMania appearance in nine years.
