It's a sad day for many wrestling fans, as heralded Daniel Bryan announced his retirement from the WWE squared circle. While there could be more than meets the eye, especially with the controversial fashion in which Bryan exited the ring in the spring of 2015, we know what we know about the saga, and it isn't exactly much. As it stands, Bryan will never wrestle in a WWE ring again. Over the past six years, Bryan surpassed CM Punk, John Cena, and others as the most beloved performer on the roster. Bryan's hard-nosed style that betrayed his diminutive frame inspired many, and his natural congeniality charmed everyone that wasn't already a believer. Bryan is the champion of the working man, the non-comformist. His ascent to the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXX was powered by the very people he'd won the hearts of, and they repaid him by making sure that the thirtieth WrestleMania didn't take place without him as the centerpiece.
