10 Best Ever NXT To WWE Call-Ups

8. Big E

Like his fellow New Day members, Big E's main roster story is one of a supremely gifted wrestler who struggled to find his place before he was repackaged as a tag team competitor during the middle of 2014.

That said, it's probably fair to say that E achieved greater singles success than the aforementioned Xavier Woods. After being introduced to the roster as an all-conquering heel, he went on to hold the Intercontinental Championship for more than five months in late 2013.

For whatever reason, this push didn't carry him all the way to the promised land. Despite holding NXT's biggest prize, he hasn't yet been given the opportunity to wear either of its main roster equivalents.

Do you really need a world title, though, when you're part (arguably, the leading part) of one of the most popular tag team acts of all-time? There are many former champions on both brands who would kill for the reactions that he gets every week.
