9. The Chris Jericho/Trish Stratus/Christian Love Triangle ('Mania XX)

Here's a story WWE probably wouldn't try today.

Tag partners Chris Jericho and Christian put a bet of $1 (Canadian) on who could get them some of Trish Stratus first, and that eventually led to Y2J developing feelings for Trish. Those puppy-dog eyes were returned by the smoking hot Diva, and it looked like Stratus and Jericho would become an item.

Then, she stabbed him in the back at 'Mania XX and sided with Christian. The whole thing was orchestrated beautifully, sold Trish as a cold-hearted bitch who had toyed with Jericho's emotions and split the team in time for WrestleMania. Going into the show, this was one of the most heated issues in the entire company.

If you can ignore the sophomoric bet between heel tag partners and look at the result, this was great storytelling. Trish turned heel, jilted lover Jericho turned babyface again and Christian was presented as the conductor of chaos.
