Kurt Angle has been a workhorse since the late-90s, and he's provided fans with countless great matches since trading Olympic glory for pro wrestling success. Latterly, his body has started to give up on him, and that's presumably why Kurt and WWE agree that WrestleMania 35 should be his swan song moment.
The sad truth, despite fan complaints about the ongoing threat of Baron Corbin, is that Kurt won't be able to have his best match ever regardless of who he meets in New Jersey. Those days are well behind him, and that's just the way it is. Still, not many wrestlers can look back on a career laced with quite so many classics.
Angle's last hurrah came against Drew McIntyre on Raw last November. That would've been a fitting time for the legend to bow out, but it's understandable that WWE want his final bout as a selling point for 'Mania. Fingers crossed that Kurt can at least have a match to be proud of, rather than one he looks back on with regret.
