9 Best Ladder Matches In Wrestlemania History

Will Sunday's IC ladder match top any of these classics?

This week on Monday Night Raw, Stephanie McMahon announced that Kevin Owens would defend the Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Stardust, Sin Cara, and Zack Ryder in a ladder match. This would mark the 11th time in WrestleMania history that a ladder match will take place. The previous ten ladder matches, ranging all the way back to WrestleMania X, have provided some of the most memorable moments in the history of the 'Granddaddy of Them All'. Whether they be for the Intercontinental Championship, the Tag Team Championship, or the Money in the Bank briefcase, the ladder match has always stole the show at WrestleMania. The high spots have always sent the crowd into a frenzy, and set the tone for the rest of the night. In addition, these matches have made the careers of future hall of famers like Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Edge, and others. In less than two weeks, Kevin Owens and his challengers will attempt to forge their own legacy into the WrestleMania ladder match, but after looking at this list, it'll be obvious that they will have their work cut out for them. Here are the 10 best ladder matches in WrestleMania history.

10. Money In The Bank Ladder Match - WrestleMania 26

What started out as a six-man ladder match at its inception had grown into a 10-man ladder match, which really crowded the contest and forced each wrestler to rush to get his spots in. The choice of Swagger as victor was also curious, as there seemed to be more interesting choices to win, such as Christian, MVP, Dolph, or even Bourne as a complete dark horse. Swagger ended up doing nothing with his title reign and his career never seemed to rebound, so the poor booking of the winner puts this ladder match at the bottom of the list.
