Jushin Liger is one of the most renowned Junior Heavyweight wrestlers in the world. His career has spanned four decades, clocked up almost 4000 matches and accumulated a list of scalps that reads like a who’s who of the wrestling business.

With such an impressive and lengthy career, Liger has remarkably only ever wrestled in WWE once. That honour went to Tyler Breeze at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015; however, the honour of victory went to Liger, who won with a running Liger Bomb in a solid and momentous debut.

Despite his sole WWE appearance being in 2015, he did technically appear for Vince McMahon once before, during the legendary Pro Wrestling Summit in April 1990. The cross-promotional event was the product of WWF, All Japan, and New Japan, and consisted of several international dream bouts.

On a card that also included Bret Hart vs. Tiger Mask II, Andre and Giant Baba vs. Demolition, and Hulk Hogan vs. Stan Hansen, the legendary Liger would defeat Akira Nogami in front of 44,000 fans at the Tokyo Dome. Like Sasuke, Liger has since gone on to feature in a number of WWE DVD releases as well, further cementing his legend in WWE folklore.
