It is pretty hard to complain about a show that opens with Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle, right? This was actually Kurt Angle’s last pay-per-view match in WWE, as he was soon granted early release from his contract because of health issues. Orton won the match via RKO, and the popularity of that move was clear even here.

This show featured a couple of extremely disappointing matches (Sabu vs. Cena, Flair vs. Foley), but there was more good than bad. Rob Van Dam and Edge had an excellent WWE Championship match in the middle of the card, a step below what they were capable of but still a great match. RVD looked like a star, but just over a week later his push was done.

Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, and Johnny Nitro had a fun Intercontinental Championship triple threat match, with Carlito giving one of his best performances in a losing effort. D-Generation X vanquished The Spirit Squad in the main event, one of the rare occasions where two men were right in defeating five. Mid 2000s WWE gets a rough deal, but there was a lot of good there.
