10 Best WWF Matches Of The 1980s

10. Bret Hart vs. Randy Savage - 11/28/87

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z976fLWo3lc There's numerous things that make this match special. Foremost, note the work of the ensemble cast of The Hart Foundation, the Honky Tonk Man, Miss Elizabeth, Jimmy Hart and Hulk Hogan in elevating Randy Savage to the main event in a match on national television. All Savage needed to do was put himself into deeper peril than at any other point in his career, and let a veteran group of guys who then had 50 years of wrestling experience and probably 15,000+ matches between them do the work they needed to do in order to make a brand new superstar. This one is criminally underrated because most people really don't get just how much experience there is involved in this match and just how well all of the parts work together in making it happen. When a crew of guys with experience in Calgary and Memphis get together, the situation will be a little bit wilder and seem a little bit more real than usual. Because of the unique backgrounds of all participants involved, this match and the angle afterwards that put together the Mega Powers is absolutely incredible.
