Beth Phoenix - Divas Champion

On June 5, 2006, Beth Phoenix made her in-ring debut on WWE television, squaring off with Victoria. It was meant to be the beginning of a sizable push for the newcomer, a match that earned her credibility among the WWE Universe and put her in position to challenge Mickie James for the Women's Championship.

Unfortunately, her push would come to a halt before it ever began, courtesy of a broken jaw suffered during the bout.

Showing tremendous toughness, she continued with the match, knocking Victoria off and earning an enormous victory.

The setback cost Phoenix a permanent spot on the Raw roster and a significant push alongside Trish Stratus. What could have been a major disappointment that she never quite got over was, instead, motivation for a bigger and better run set in.

She worked hard to get back to the big show, where she wasted little time asserting herself and establishing her dominance en route to the championship that eluded her in her brief first run.
