10 Big Questions From WWE Raw (5 Oct)

Is the only direction forward for Big Show now to retire?

This week's Raw didn't just provoke questions from the fans; it also saw Summer Rae get down on one knee and pop the question to Rusev. The Bulgarian Brute delayed his own answer, explaining that he will only marry her after succeeding in his quest for championship gold. Elsewhere, Dolph Ziggler accidentally superkicked John Cena's face off, days after attempting to woo his girlfriend on Total Divas. A new feud seems to be on the horizon. Despite these segments seeming to push Rusev and Ziggler in opposite directions, much of Raw served to depressingly reinforce the status quo. Seth Rollins continued to be outwitted by Kane at every turn, Big Show was destroyed by Brock Lesnar for the second time in three days, and Cesaro was still nowhere to be seen. Thankfully, the more infuriating episodes of Raw tend to provoke the most interesting questions, and this week was no exception...

10. Is This A Step Forward For The New Day?

On Raw, the New Day beat Dolph Ziggler senseless, paraded his limp body out to the ring, and forcibly took his place in the US Championship match. It was a huge departure from their usual happy-go-lucky (if slightly egotistical) antics - and a move which actually came across as quite shocking. At the end of the show, the trio were made to look incredibly strong, fighting off Cena, Ziggler, and both Dudley Boyz to stand tall. The popularity of the New Day is never in question these days, but their legitimacy as heels has been criticised in recent weeks by veterans such as JR. Could this be a massive step in the right direction? Then again, WWE could merely be building up the heels in the weeks before Hell in a Cell, only to have the babyfaces beat them when it matters most. It's basic booking 101 - but we're hoping the writers have something a little more exciting in store for the most entertaining tag team of a generation.
