Royal Rumble 2018 was a game-changing event that kicked off WWE's calendar year in tremendous fashion, drawing widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike, but with the first 'Big Four' PPV firmly in the rear-view, it's time to start looking towards the next.

As clichéd as the saying has become, we're now officially on the Road to WrestleMania. There are still nine weeks' of television and two brand-specific pay-per-views to go, but almost everything that happens between now and 8 April will be done with the express purpose of building towards the year's biggest show. It's an exciting time for any WWE fan, and with the Rumble over-delivering, all signs point towards an awesome night in New Orleans.

But what will the journey entail? What twists, turns, and diversions will WWE take along the way, and will they be able to maintain the Rumble's incredible momentum? They must answer all these questions (and more) over the coming weeks.

WWE don't often nail their pay-per-view builds in the Network era, but if the company are heading where we think they are, the Road to WrestleMania 34 promises plenty of thrills...

10. Jason Jordan Turns On Seth Rollins

As rough as Jason Jordan's genesis as the prodigal son was, the former American Alpha man has really grown into his role over the past couple of months.

Ditching the corny babyface persona has worked wonders. Reborn as an annoying pseudo-heel, Jordan is completely oblivious to his lack of popularity, and is now drawing exactly the right kind of heat as WWE burn slowly towards a full-on turn.

His and Seth Rollins' Raw Tag Title loss was entirely down to Jordan. Deciding that he couldn't continue after taking an early head-knock during their Royal Rumble bout, Jason left 'The Kingslayer' to fend for himself, and The Bar capitalised. There was no follow-up on Raw, but a flashpoint is imminent, and given JJ's chronic lack of self-awareness, he'll likely blame Seth.

WWE will pull the trigger before long, and Jordan will walk into WrestleMania 34 as a heel. Him vs. Rollins could be a tremendous match, too. Jason has been serving up great TV bouts for months, and there's no doubt he'd deliver the goods in a high stakes clash with someone as talented as Seth Rollins... provided his reported neck injury clears up, of course.
