Professional wrestling is an ever-changing industry; what was successful and popular last year could very well be boring and stale this year. Wrestlers and their promoters have to make a lot of changes in order to stay competitive, and often times doing so requires making difficult decisions. The last twenty years or so have been especially turbulent for pro wrestling in the United States. From the Monday Night Wars and the Attitude Era, to Ruthless Aggression, to the dominion of the WWE at the top of the wrestling world, to the PG Era, things have changed so much for wrestling fans. In that time, the people with the most power have made some decisions that have done more harm than good for pro wrestling, and this article will look at them. This article will focus on the €˜who€™ in that question. It will look at ten people and entities who, over time, have influenced professional wrestling in the United States in such a way that they have had a detrimental effect to wrestling itself. Though most of these figures have done some good in the business of pro wrestling, and some have done a lot of good, unfortunately some sins simply cannot be forgiven.
