It's been a topsy turvy time for the majority of WWE's Universe.

As was expected, the more knowledgable portion of the company's fanbase were up in arms as Roman Reigns - the subject of all of their hate in recent weeks due to the way he's been pushed to the top of the proverbial mountain - won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship clean over Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania.

No interference, nothing. It's literally the worst thing WWE's creative teams could have done in the face of the wrath from the boo boys.

It's like WWE made a wonderful cake with the Mania card despite not having many of the ingredients at their disposal and then decided to use sh*t as the icing in an ending that tainted the event.

Things were appeased slightly on Monday Night when IWC darling AJ Styles won a Fatal Four Way match to become the number one contender for Reigns title, while a number of NXT Superstars made their long awaited main roster debuts.

Even though the new dawn that was teased to us with the Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker match at Mania didn't happen, there was certainly enough to go off to give us hope for the next 12 months.

Here are 10 things WWE fans should be excited about right now...

10. Kevin Owens Vs. Sami Zayn

It was hard to look at the promo image for the Intercontinental Championship ladder match at WrestleMania, as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were surrounded by the likes of Stardust, Zack Ryder and Sin Cara.

Owens vs. Zayn was the match that looked to be best for business heading into Mania, but since the ladder match was so good, I for one don't mind waiting for the right moment down the line for the pair to get it on in a main roster ring.

Although, it does look like their time is now after KO cost Zayn his spot in the main even on RAW last week.

This rivalry is simmering, I hope they're given a few months of stellar matches and real storylines to tear each other apart.

The mouth quite literally waters.
