10 Biggest Unification Matches In Wrestling History

Paul Heyman let us know of the most fanciful goal for Brock Lesnar this week...

During one of his famed promos on Raw this past week, Paul Heyman came out with one of his most intriguing lines to date. "If Brock Lesnar wants to spend his summer unifying the WWE and UFC titles, that's what he'll do." Now, looking at the face value of this quote, you would say that this is Heyman being at his most outlandish and cunning best, painting The Beast Incarnate as the world beater he is billed to be. Could this actually be done? Surely not. To date, only TNA's Bobby Lashley has managed to successfully combine an active wrestling career with the gruelling schedule the octagon brings, could Brock do the same? Would Brock want to do the same? Looking at the two men, Brock certainly won't need the money, not saying that Lashley did either. But with all that Brock has achieved in both sports you would have to question weather he would have the desire to do both. It's almost needless to say, Brock would be breaking new ground if he was to conquer both sports simultaneously. The powers that be won't have been too happy with Happy Heyman, as Jim Ross so affectionately calls him. Both Vince McMahon and Dana White have openly stated their insistence for the two entities not to be classed as competition. Nevertheless, unification matches are nothing new in the world of professional wrestling. Here are 10 of the best.
