10 Biggest WWE Superstars Never To Headline WrestleMania

Some are extremely bitter about it!

The main event of WrestleMania is, in theory, a place for the hottest stars in the business to collide in front of a huge audience. Most of the biggest names in wrestling history have headlined at least one 'Mania, with many racking up several appearances over the years. Despite this, there are some names out there who you'll be shocked to learn have never enjoyed the biggest spotlight of the year - some of the most influential and memorable figures in the industry. The debate over the main event of 'Mania has never raged as fiercely as now, partly due to the perceived injustice of Daniel Bryan's relegation to the midcard (after absolutely setting the show alight last year) while the seemingly handpicked Roman Reigns has been shoehorned in at the top. Last year, CM Punk finally spoke out about the reasons behind his departure from the WWE, chief among them the fact that he was never given the chance to close WrestleMania, constantly overlooked by part-time stars of the past and stagnant ever-present faces such as The Rock and John Cena. Vince McMahon reportedly told him to consider his WrestleMania 29 bout with Undertaker the true main event of that card, but Punk refused to, stating that the main event is always the last match - plain and simple. Punk isn't the only superstar who can feel aggrieved at never receiving the main event slot they deserved. When less-than-impressive figures such as Yokozuna, The Miz, and even NFL star Lawrence Taylor having such an accolade to their name, here are ten of the biggest stars who were denied their rightful place at the summit of WrestleMania.
